Eid Mubarak from everyone at MyAdhan.com!

This Ramadhan has been extremely important for us in the fact that we’ve moved from being a paid service to being a free service. Not only that we’ve also opened our service up to over 440+ mobile operators worldwide. Exciting stuff.

In the next few weeks we are going to start adjusting our services to include a deeper and wider range of content along with other tweaks and and changes. We’ll keep you posted on our progress with regular updates.

Have a great Eid and may Allah bless you and your families.

Request for more Quran reciters and better quality MP3s

Posted by Blog Sheikh on September 08, 2009

Although we have MP3s Surah’s of the Quran available to download to your mobile phone we only really have two reciters (Sheikh Abdur Rehman Sudais and Shiekh Saood Shuraim) available from recordings from Makkah in Ramadhan. We plan to expand the number of reciters and also have higher quality recorded MP3s available in the coming weeks.

Watch this space.

Ohh and before we forget, make sure you make the most of the last 10 days of Ramadhan.

Qatar and South Africa Update

Posted by Blog Sheikh on September 07, 2009

Earlier in the week we noticed users from Qatar and South Africa were having trouble using our service. It turns out that mobile numbers in these and other countries are shorter than normal and therefore need to be treated differently on our server. We have made changes to our service to fix the issue and ensure we deliver to as many countries as possible.

Check our blog later this week on a Google Map of the places where we’ve delivered messages to since making our service global. It’s truely inspiring…

Donations Update: Help keep us FREE

Posted by Blog Sheikh on September 01, 2009

We recently posted a request for donations to MyAdhan.com and have had a really positive response. We do however need your support to maintain this service and keep it 100% FREE.

All money donated will be used to send content messages out to the many people who request to use our services. MyAdhan has had 4 successful years of delivering Islamic services and we intend on growing and providing many other services in the near future.
