SINCE early this year, SITHA of Kuala Lumpur claims that she has been receiving text messages from Maybank Asset Quality Management stating: ‘Please call the nearest home branch where your loan is maintained from AQM Maybank.’ However, there was no contact number. She was surprised as she had never taken any loans from them. “I called the nearest branch to check on the status. They confirmed that there was no loan under my name and I had not been a guarantor.
